We envision a future where data from waste is abundant, driving the automation and digitisation of the waste industry.

What is waste-to-energy?

Waste-to-energy (WtE) plants play a crucial role in modern waste management by converting non-recyclable household and industrial waste into valuable energy and raw materials. These plants address the dual challenge of waste disposal and sustainable energy production, providing an environmentally safe alternative to traditional landfill.

How does it work?

Through a controlled incineration process, WtE plants recover energy in the form of steam, electricity, or hot water. Electricity generated can be fed into the grid to power homes and businesses, while hot water can supply district heating and cooling systems for homes, hospitals, and offices. Additionally, the steam can support industrial production processes, making WtE a versatile and essential component of the energy landscape.
